Hiking In Switzerland
30 Apr 2019

Big wall rock climber Katie Lambert usually only goes on a hike to get to the base of a wall or get to an objective–but not this time. This time, she joined fellow Eddie Bauer guide Caroline George in her home country of Switzerland to go on one of the most stunning and picturesque hikes in the world. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll find some walls to traverse along the way.

Meet the Team

KATIE LAMBERT

Eddie Bauer Rock Climbing Guide

A free climber with a maximum strength-to-stature ratio, Katie Lambert has crushed big walls around the globe, from Yosemite and Zion to Picos de Europa and the Cirque of the Unclimbables. Trading short sport routes for legendary big walls, in 2006 Lambert migrated west to Yosemite National Park and since then has established herself as one of the world’s premier female free climbers

CAROLINE GEORGE

Eddie Bauer Alpine Climbing Guide (IFMGA)

For more than a decade, Caroline George has lived for the vertical dimension, tackling some of the hardest ice and mixed routes. Raised by climbing parents, George followed in their footsteps by sharpening her skills in the Swiss Alps, then earned her guiding certs in the male-dominated ranks in a profession steeped in alpine tradition. A true working guide, she has also participated in an impressive tick list of climbing expeditions that have taken her from Mt. Vinson, Antarctica, to the deeply carved fjords of Norway.
